Reduction blocks an evaluation of the nose but the dense, serious, intense and muscular big-bodied flavors possess a highly appealing texture as the palate staining finish is ultra seductive as well as spectacularly persistent. This is a wonderfully intense and potent effort that should age effortlessly for decades. In sum, this has the goods to give the brilliant '05 a run for its money.
